How to use Rich Text in Roblox Studio
Important: You must enable the RichText property on your TextLabel, TextButton, or TextBox in Roblox Studio for these tags to render. Without it, the raw tags will display as plain text.
- Select your TextLabel (or TextButton / TextBox) in the Explorer panel.
- In the Properties panel, find and check the
RichTextproperty to true. - Paste the generated Luau script into a LocalScript or Script parented to the TextLabel.
- Supported tags:
<b>bold,<i>italic,<u>underline,<s>strikethrough, and<font>for color and size. - Rich Text uses XML-like syntax — make sure every opening tag has a matching closing tag, or the text may not display correctly.
