How does TweenService work?
TweenService is Roblox's built-in engine for smoothly animating properties (like Size, Position, or Transparency) from point A to point B. Instead of an object instantly teleporting, TweenService calculates the smooth mathematical path between the two points.
- Easing Style: The mathematical curve of the animation. For example, Linear moves at a constant speed, while Exponential starts incredibly slow and snaps fast at the end.
- Easing Direction: Controls which end of the animation the "curve" is applied to. In applies it to the start, Out applies it to the end, and InOut applies it to both.
- Repeat Count: How many times the animation should play. A value of
-1makes it loop infinitely. - Yo-Yo (Reverses): If checked, the animation will play completely forward, and then instantly reverse back to its starting state.
